Hugh Jackman is set to return as Wolverine once again for the third Deadpool movie that is now under the wings of Marvel Studios since buying 20th Century Fox.
Now, a new report shared by the industry tipster Daniel Richtman aka Daniel RPK claims that Jackman’s role in the MCU will be Avengers-level big.

Deadpool 3 will mark Jackman’s 10th official outing as the character, the Greatest Showman star has joked in the past that the sequel is basically Wolverine 10.
However, if this report bears any truth, Jackman’s Wolverine may be set to return for an 11th outing during his time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Wolverine’s Avengers Role Reported Details
Is Wolverine going to be in Avengers: Secret Wars? It looks like he might be!
According to the insider, Jackman met up with Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige about Wolverine having a “big role” in Avengers: Secret Wars.
It should be noted that this information also included details that these talks happened prior to the ongoing SAG strike that currently prevents Jackman from working on Deadpool 3 and any other major Hollywood project.

The Logan star won’t be able to resume any conversations about Avengers: Secret Wars until after the strike has been resolved, assuming he has had any conversations about his future post-Deadpool 3 as Wolverine in the MCU.
To summarise, the report states that Jackman was having talks with Feige about his Wolverine having a “big role” in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Secret Wars.
How “Big” Will Wolverine’s Role Be In Secret Wars?
No additional information was attached to the above-mentioned report, however, it’s safe to assume that Jackman’s Wolverine will have a lead hero role during the events of Avengers: Secret Wars.
It’s safe to assume that a “big role” in an Avengers movie that is set to be far more ambitious than Endgame means something fairly major for Jackman’s involvement.

Jackman’s Wolverine could potentially even show up during the events of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, which is set to release before and directly tie into Secret Wars.
Jackman Will Finally Get His MCU Wish
Something that Jackman has spoken out on in the past is the potential for his Wolverine to fight the live-action Bruce Banner whilst transformed as the Hulk.
Currently, Mark Ruffalo plays both Bruce Banner and the rage-filled green monster known as the Hulk, who is only around one or two years older than Jackman.
It’s extremely safe to expect that there will be discussions about Jackman’s Wolverine finally getting to sink his claws into the Hulk, played by Ruffalo since the first Avengers movie that released back in 2012.

Jackman has already hit two major live-action Wolverine life goals, one is getting to wear the iconic yellow Wolverine suit, the other being able to kick Deadpool around.
Ryan Reynolds returns as Wade Wilson aka Deadpool alongside Jackman in Deadpool 3, which will see the two actors portray these characters together for a second time. This time, however, in a true comic accurate setting.
As of writing, nothing has been announced of confirmed in regard to Jackman being involved as Wolverine in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Secret Wars.
Avengers: Secret Wars is currently scheduled to release on May 7, 2027.
