NetherRealm Studios boss Ed Boon has officially now participated in one of First We Feast’s Hot Ones spicy chicken wing challenge/interview, and he brought some Mortal Kombat 1 goodies, one being the official Jean-Claude Van Damme skin.
It was known that players would get a chance to obtain a Van Damme skin for the popular character Johnny Cage, however, it had yet to be revealed publicly.

That changed today September 7 as Boon brought a quick snippet of what the skin looks like in action, with a Van Damme-skinned Johnny Cage opening cinematic clip.
Jean-Claude Van Damme as Johnny Cage
As you should be able to see in the image above, Johnny Cage’s appearance can be completely altered to look like the Expendables and Bloodsport star.
The short video which can be viewed further down the article was played as Hot Ones host Sean Evans asked Boon directly about it.

The skin seems to completely change his physical appearance, from his face to his style, something that many Van Damme fans will appreciate when playing.

NetherRealm Studios plans on bringing in a lot more than a simple Van Damme skin. Pop culture favourites such as Homelander and Omni-Man are also set to join the franchise but as playable characters included in the game’s first Kombat Pack.
A “Kombat Pack” is just a fancy Mortal Kombat way of saying DLC.
From confirmed guest appearances to rumoured names, Mortal Kombat 1 is seemingly trying to outdo all of its predecessors in terms of its “kast”.

Megan Fox is also starring in the game as the famous character Nitara, J. K. Simmons will voice Omni-Man and even more stars have been theorised to be voicing characters in the upcoming game.
Besides its gun guest skins and stars, the storyline itself is the main key to success, an element that the studio never really seems to fail at delivering for its eager fans.
