Todd Phillips (Joker) announced yesterday that Joker: Folie à Deux, aka Joker 2, has officially wrapped filming by posting two new images from the sequel plus a caption to celebrate the production being complete, now leading into post-production.
Phillips took to Instagram to post an image of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker and Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn, with a caption that reads “That’s a wrap. Thanks to these two (+ the entire cast) and the BEST crew that the film industry has to offer. From top to bottom. Gonna crawl into a cave now (edit room) and put it all together.”
New ‘Joker 2’ Images Revealed
The first image released by the Joker 2 director, Todd Phillips, is that of Lady Gaga in full Harley Quinn mode as she appears to be standing in a similar setting to Phoenix’s Joker from the first instalment, which was an elevator, however, it isn’t clear if this is the same location.
It’s possible that the image of Gaga’s Harley Quinn (below) could also be a shot from the court scenes that the cast and crew, including Gaga, have been filming recently in a public location, the full image can be seen below.
Phoenix’s Joker, aka Arthur Fleck, was the second image posted by Phillips attached to the same post, showcasing the Joker in some sort of prisoner vehicle, or possibly a cell of some kind, it’s not entirely clear but the image is still captivating as ever.
Joker: Folie à Deux (Joker 2) releases theatrically on October 4, 2024.
