Daredevil: Born Again is headed to be one of the more grounded projects of the Multiverse Saga, surrounded by more impactful projects such as Deadpool 3 and Thunderbolts, but this series will certainly leave a mark on the fans rooting for the series to arrive. The series has just started principal photography, and will film till November this year in New York City.
Jon Bernthal’s Punisher first appeared in the second season of Daredevil, after which he received his own spinoff show, which lasted two seasons. The character was an immediate hit with fans, with everybody praising Bernthal’s performance.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jon Bernthal is set to reprise the role of Frank Castle, AKA The Punisher in Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again. This was heavily rumored in the past couple months, and has now come to fruition.

Karen Page And Foggy Nelson Not Returning?
However, THR’s sources also claim that other actors from the Netflix Daredevil series are not expected to return in Daredevil: Born Again. They went on to say that Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson, who played classic supporting characters Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, respectively, are not on the roll call for the upcoming series.It is currently unknown if the characters will be recast, or absent in the screenplay. Ann Woll was earlier rumoured to not be able to appear in the series due to potential scheduling conflicts, but it is unconfirmed whether that could have been the primary reason of the supporting cast being left out.
The supporting characters being left out of this show hints at the series being a soft reboot rather than a direct continuation of the Defenders Saga, with certain elements being handpicked out of the show into this.

Bernthal is the 6th addition to this series’ relatively small cast, joining Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Michael Gandolfini, Sandrine Holt and Margarita Levieva. The directors for the series have not been revealed yet.
Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ during Spring 2023.
