Karl Urban is reportedly set to appear in Deadpool 3 as a variant of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, at least according to the outlet Giant Freakin Robot that is.

Despite already playing a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starring as Skurge in Thor: Ragnarok, GFR states that this information comes from “trusted and proven sources”.
Karl Urban Playing Wolverine In Deadpool 3?
This report comes only a week after industry tipster Daniel RPK aka Daniel Richtman shared news that Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will also reportedly be appearing as a Wolverine variant in the third Deadpool movie.
Despite these casting reports not being confirmed as of writing by the cast and crew of the upcoming MCU project, various online tipsters have now reported similar news for the movie.

Potentially adding weight to the claims, or just spreading false hopes, something that will only officially be revealed once the threequel releases next May.
If true, it seems that Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will be featuring a large variety of multiversal Wolverine variants throughout the events of Deadpool 3.
Reportedly, most variants are seemingly being played by actors who have been included in popular fan cast lists, with Taron Egerton being another popular fan suggestion for the role.
Additional Deadpool 3 casting reports have included names such as Wesley Snipes’ Blade, Jennifer Garner’s Elektra (now confirmed), Ian McKellen’s Magneto, Halle Berry’s Storm, Ben Affleck’s Daredevil, Channing Tatum’s Gambit, among many others.
Confirmed Deadpool 3 Characters
Despite the extreme secrecy that surrounds the upcoming Deadpool movie, there has been a large variety of confirmed castings so far, prior to the ongoing strikes.
As aforementioned, Reynolds is set to return as the titular anti-hero alongside Jackman who is officially returning as Wolverine where he will reprise the role on big screen for the tenth time.
Morena Baccarin is set to reprise her role as Deadpool’s love interest Vanessa, with The Crown star Emma Corrin confirmed but whose character has yet to be revealed.
Jennifer Garner will officially be reprising her past Marvel role as Elektra, now for the third time post the Affleck-led Daredevil movie and the Elektra spinoff movie.
Matthew Macfadyen is also set to star in a currently unknown role.
Returning to the franchise includes Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Rob Delaney as Peter, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al.
Kevin Feige and Shawn Levy are producing alongside fellow producers Mitchell Bell, Simon Kinberg, and Ryan Reynolds.
The music of the movie will be composed by Rob Simonsen.
Deadpool 3 releases in theatres on May 3, 2024.
