It has recently been revealed that Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix, John Wick Franchise) will officially be reprising the role of MCU’s Dr. Bill Foster in Marvel’s latest animated series entitled Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur which can be watched on Disney and Disney Plus.
Fishburne’s Bill Foster was last seen in live-action form during the events of Marvel Studios‘ 2018 flick Ant-Man and the Wasp, which starred Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, with Bill Foster being somewhat of a parent figure to Hannah John-Kamen’s Ava Starr, aka Ghost.
Laurence Fishburne Returns As Bill Foster
You can watch the official clip below thanks to the Marvel HQ YouTube channel.
In the clip revealed by Marvel HQ, Fishburne’s Bill Foster receives a video call from Moon Girl, to which Foster responds by asking “who’s this, and how did you get this – ?“ before realising who the caller is, as Foster says “Moon Girl?“ with a surprised tone of voice.
Moon Girl is shown to have shrunk Devil Dinosaur, supposably by using “shrink-tech” similar to the shrinking technology used by Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which Foster points out by telling Moon Girl “shrink-tech is more Dr. Pym’s field.”
However, Moon Girl points out that she requires “grow-tech”, a direct nod to the fact that Bill Foster also once went by the name of Goliath, both in the MCU and in Marvel Comics, a character who could grow into an enormous height, prior to the introduction of Ant-Man’s Giant-Man.
Foster seems reluctant to help at first, simply due to the dangers of the science behind the technology, although, he ends up sending a formula that should help get Devil Dinosaur back to the normal size, which fans of the series will get to see during the episode.
Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur can be watched on the Disney Channel or streamed on Disney Plus.
