MCU: Letitia Wright Hasn’t Been Told What’s Happening With Shuri

Letitia Wright has confirmed that she hasn’t been told when Marvel fans will next see Shuri in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Wright’s Shuri was last seen donning the Black Panther suit in Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The sequel to the 2018 movie Black Panther which starred the late Chadwick Boseman.

Despite Shuri becoming the official new Black Panther in the MCU. Wright has yet to be told when we will see her next, at least, that’s what she wants us to believe.

When asked by ComicBook if she has been informed about what the future might look like for Shuri or when we will get to see her next. Wright responded:

“No, I haven’t. I will know soon as you know.”

As mentioned, Shuri is now the MCU’s Black Panther as of the events of Wakanda Forever and nothing yet has changed that.

Black Panther 3 will most likely become a reality one day. It just hasn’t been announced as of yet, however, this might not be the next time we see Wright’s Shuri in the MCU.

Where Shuri May Appear Next In The MCU

Marvel Studios have a wide range of upcoming titles that have been in development for a long time, besides currently due to the ongoing WGA writers’ strike.

Wright’s Shuri aka Black Panther has the potential to appear in various upcoming titles such as the Wakanda Forever spinoff series based on Marvel’s Ironheart. However, this has not been confirmed by the cast and crew and may be too soon a project.

One place to definitely expect not only an appearance but a strong presence is the two upcoming Avengers movies The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars, especially the latter.

Black Panther is an iconic Avengers character and a must-have ally when fighting foes such as The Infinity Saga‘s Thanos or The Multiverse Saga‘s Kang the Conquerer.

Whether or not we see Wright’s Shuri in a spinoff, Avengers title, or Black Panther sequel first – just know we will see her again one day somewhere in the MCU… unless perhaps a variant of Wright’s Shuri pops up first.
