The first look for Blumhouse’s Five Nights At Freddy’s movie has been released along with confirmation that the feature movie adaptation will be released in theatres and on Peacock on October 27, 2023, just in time to watch ahead of this year’s Halloween.
Blumhouse took to Instagram to announce the news plus share the first official look at the project, saying on Instagram “Universal Pictures will release Blumhouse’s FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S on Friday, October 27, 2023 wide. The film will also premiere day-and-date with theatrical on Peacock.”
So fans will have the choice this year to either watch the FNAF movie in theatres on October 27, 2023 or to stream from home on the streaming platform Peacock, as the movie is set to release simultaneously to both theatres and Peacock on the same day.

In the first look released by Blumhouse’s Instagram account, the iconic “Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza” location, which is where the titular character known as Freddy Fazbear somewhat originates from, at least before the madness began.
Blumhouse’s social post announcement was also captioned with:
“The terrifying horror game phenomenon becomes a blood-chilling cinematic event, as Blumhouse— the producer of M3GAN, The Black Phone and The Invisible Man— brings Five Nights at Freddy’s to the big screen.”
“The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.”
“Starring Josh Hutcherson (Ultraman, The Hunger Games franchise), Matthew Lillard (Good Girls, Scream), Elizabeth Lail (You, Mack & Rita), Kat Conner Sterling (We Have A Ghost, 9-1-1), Piper Rubio (Holly & Ivy, Unstable) and Mary Stuart Masterson (Blindspot, Fried Green Tomatoes).
