Marvel Studios’ second season of Loki is now streaming episodes on Disney+, meaning MCU fans are only weeks away from finding out what season 2 fully has in store for them. Tom Hiddleston returns as the titular trickster alongside various old and new cast members, including Owen Wilson, Jonathan Majors, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Ke Huy Quan, among others.
We got the chance to speak to director Dan DeLeeuw at this year’s BFI London Film Festival during the Red Carpet for Loki’s second season, where he shared with us what fans can expect this season from Ravonna and more.
DeLeeuw also touched on how season 2 focuses more on character development this time around, leaning slightly away from its impressive world-building as seen during the episodes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first season.

CoveredGeekly: We’ve seen Ravonna in the trailer for Loki season two, and she had a great involvement in season one, how large is her involvement in the second season and can we expect a comic relationship between her and Kang?
She still has a major role and she definitely drives the plot forward. I think you’ll see all the characters kind of developing, and what was great about season two is we had a lot of time to spend on character development.
You know, we done a lot of world-building in season one, and then in season two we were able to kind of come back and be with the characters and kind of see where they ultimately go.
Loki Season 2 premieres today October 5th on Disney+
