British comedian, writer, and presenter London Hughes took to social media on September 17 to speak out about the recent sexual allegations made in a Channel 4 Dispatches documentary currently surrounding fellow comedian Russell Brand.
Hughes wrote on the social media known as X, formerly known as Twitter, that she was warned that she “shouldn’t sleep with [Brand] under any circumstances] as he likes to pursue women” and “have sex with them”.
Brand responded to the Channel 4 documentary entitled “Russell Brand: In Plain Sight” in a recent YouTube video where he “absolutely” refuted all of the “very serious allegations”, specifically the “criminal” ones.
London Hughes Says She Was Warned About Russell Brand
In one of the recent social media posts made by Hughes, that still remain public, she wrote: “I was newly signed with Russell’s agent at the height of his career, I was a HUGE fan of the man… So excited to meet him!”
She continued: “But my first day at the agency I was told unprovoked that I shouldn’t sleep with him under any circumstances, as he likes to pursue women, have sex with them”.
Russell Brand Had Women Fired Says London Hughes
In a threaded response to the above tweet made by Hughes, she added: “But as soon as he had sex with them, they’d made him feel sick and he didn’t want to be around them anymore, so he would have them fired, or dropped from the agency.”
Hughes continued: “It had happened several times in the past. I was 22 at the time, did what I was told and completely avoided him.”
In a third response made by Hughes, she further added: “This is not some cheeky misunderstood man. I am not shocked by the documentary at all, I believe everything those brave women said.”
