Yet another casting rumour for Marvel Studios‘ live-action Fantastic Four reboot has surfaced, this time for Ben Grimm aka The Thing.
This new rumour states that actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear, The Punisher) is reportedly set to star as and presumably voice the iconic Marvel character.
Marvel’s The Thing has previously been played in live-action by actors Michael Chiklis (The Shield) and Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) with Chiklis playing the character twice.

20th Century Fox, now 20th Century Studios, attempted twice to create a successful Fantastic Four movie franchise before both attempts came to a halt.
First in the 2005 Fantastic Four movie which saw Chris Evans take on the role of the Human Torch, then later in the 2015 remake with the same name.
Since Disney fully merged with 20th Century Fox, now 20th Century Studios, the live-action movie rights for Fantastic Four now belong in the hands of Marvel Studios.

This wouldn’t be Moss-Bachrach’s first outing in the Marvel world as he starred alongside Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle as Microchip in The Punisher season 1.

This has yet to be disproven or confirmed by the cast and crew of the movie, with any response not expected to happen anytime soon due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
