Marvel Studios’ main antagonist for the upcoming WandaVision spin-off series Agatha: Coven of Chaos has reportedly been revealed to be actress, writer, and producer Okwui Okpokwasili (The Interpreter), alongside both plot and character details.
This new information comes from the industry scooper Daniel Richtman, who took to Patreon to post that Okpokwasili will be starring in the series as a leader of the “Salem Seven”, most likely Salem’s Seven, a group of superhumans who head for Westview to seek revenge against Agatha Harkness.
Okpokwasili has not been announced as an official cast member for the upcoming series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with no confirmation from the cast and crew of Agatha: Coven of Chaos in regard to these new details that reportedly reveal much more than just the show’s villain.
Marvel’s Salem’s Seven, Who Are They?
If true, the introduction of the Salem’s Seven into the MCU would open up another plethera of Marvel lore from the comic adaptation, as the group of magically mutated superhumans have plenty of history with the titular character, Agatha Harkness.
The group’s members all share the same father, Nicholas Scratch, the son of Agatha, with Agatha, of course, being the grandmother to the Salem’s Seven lineup. Nicholas Scratch is known as a powerful and magical warlock who, with various wives, had many children who eventually became known as the Salem’s Seven.
Agatha and the members of Salem’s Seven never had the best relationship with each other during the original comics, and it would make sense to adapt this storyline in a series that bears the title of the Salem Seven’s grandmother, however, this has not yet been confirmed.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos does not have a scheduled release date yet.
