The first 4 episodes of Marvel Studios’ MPower are now streaming on Disney+. The miniseries “salutes the Marvel women, onscreen and off, who have brought our iconic heroes to life.” It’s release was confirmed last month, in February 2022 via Disney Plus’ March streaming announcment.
The series was first confirmed to be in development all the way back in June 2021, when Marvel announced a casting call for an upcoming series, which would feature the Super Heroes we know onscreen, the brilliant minds who work tirelessly offscreen, and a few incredible fans of the powerful women of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The title of the series is a play on the word “Empower”, just making it Marvel-centric without changing the essence of the word itself.
The series is directed by Quinn Wilson, and executive produced by Victoria Alonso, Mark Herzog, Andie Beckerman, Zoe Saldaña, Cisely Saldaña, Mariel Saldaña, Justin W. Hochberg, Lauren Moore Morden, Jeff Redmond, Sarah Girgis; Lauren Goralski serves as co-producer. The series comes from production companies Herzog & Co., Cinestar Pictures, and Just Entertainment.
The first episode is titled “The Women of Black Panther”, and its description reads: “Step into the minds of those who bring your favourite women of Wakanda to life.” The episode has a runtime of 40 minutes.
The second episode is titled “Captain Marvel”, and its synopsis is as follows: “Those behind Captain Marvel delve into how she became a force for embracing oneself to the fullest.” The episode has a runtime of 36 minutes.

The third episode is titled “Scarlet Witch” and its description reads: “Scarlet Witch’s story is unlike any other. This ‘MPower’ episode showcases her voice and strength.” The episode has a runtime of 36 minutes.
The fourth episode is titled “Gamora” and its synopsis is as follows: “Follow Gamora and her fellow Guardian women on their journeys from misfits to heroes.” The episode has a runtime of 35 minutes.
The entire series clocks in at 2 hours and 27 minutes. We shouldn’t expect more episodes to follow this bunch, because Disney+ announced to show to premiere with “All Episodes Available”. However, it is possible that the series gets a second season, similar to Legends.
