Marvel Studios’ upcoming Agatha: Coven of Chaos will reportedly have more episodes than expected according to Patti LuPone who stars alongside Kathryn Hahn in the series. The series itself is a spinoff to the popular Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany-led WandaVision series, which was also a spinoff in its own way as the MCU dives deeper and deeper into spinoff territory.

The new Disney+ series will be joining its fellow series neighbours such as Moon Knight, Ironheart, and She-Hulk, among the rest of the spinoff shows to be born out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Episode counts are never consistent with each MCU series which makes for an interesting reveal to the fans, as Marvel Studios sometimes opt for 6-episode seasons to whopping 18-episode seasons such as the upcoming 2024 reboot series Daredevil: Born Again starring Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio.

According to Agatha: Coven of Chaos cast member Patti LuPone, the series will have a total of 9 episodes as opposed to the speculated count of 6 episodes.
This most likely means that the series has plenty in store for fans in terms of character development and storyline as it should be with a character such as Agatha behind the wheel. One long-lasting theory is that Mephisto will have some sort of presence in the series due to the fact that he has plenty of history with the titular character in the comics.

The series is also expected to be introducing the Salem’s Seven who are a group of mutated Marvel characters tied to none other than Agatha’s son Nicholas Scratch. However, Marvel Studios keep true to their typical secrecy and spoiler-preventative measures to keep fans speculating and theorizing what’s to come. Something that the fandom thrive on doing on a daily basis.
The currently confirmed cast for Agatha: Coven of Chaos includes Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, Patti LuPone as Lilia Calderu, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Aubrey Plaza- Ali Ahn, Emma Caulfield Ford as Dottie, Debra Jo Rupp as Mrs. Hart, Maria Dizzia, Joe Locke, Brian Brightman, and Sasheer Zamata.
The actual episode count has yet to be confirmed by Marvel Studios.
