Marvel Studios‘ Blade movie has recently been in the spotlight of the geeky news media. Reports online claim that creative issues between the director and particular cast members, with confirmation that the director has exited the project.
Now news has just broken out that Marvel Studios has shut down pre-production altogether while they hunt for a new director to helm the project.
MCU Shuts Down Blade’s Pre-Production
This doesn’t mean that the movie will be canceled, the studio is just giving more time for the screenplay to be perfected.
While they look for a new director, they will most likely be finding someone who shares the same vision as Mahershala Ali. It seems that Ali doesn’t want to just do any old rendition of the iconic Marvel character, seeing that he is taking the torch from one of the greats, Wesley Snipes.
When Does Marvel Studio’s Blade Come Out?
It is currently set for a 2023 release, aiming for November 3, this may be delayed however depending on how long it takes to find a new director.
