It has been heavily rumored in the past that Marvel Studios’ Blade movie will be set during the 1920s, which originally sparked before Basam Tariq stepped down as the director of the project. Since then, reports online stated that major production changes would be happening to the script of Blade, which led to speculation that the 1920s setting rumor would no longer be going forward.
However, the rumor behind the time setting for Blade has had a small update from the well-known industry scooper Daniel Richtman, with the update from Richtman stating that the whole movie will still be set during the 1920s. Speculation from fans online theorized that the Blade movie may only be set in the 1920s for flashback scenes, which has been debunked according to the new report.
It is also possible that the Kang variant, Victor Timely, who has also been rumored in the past to be one of the next Kang variants to be joining the MCU, could be making an appearance in the 2024 Blade movie. Victor Timely is a Kang variant who ends up traveling to the early 1900s to hide from the Avengers, and if the recent rumors are anything to go by, these two pieces of information could potentially mean that Blade will be one of the next MCU characters to meet Kang.

How Blade Could Feature Victor Timely

Although this is all just speculation and theories, if these recent reports about Victor Timely and Blade are anything to go from, it’s safe to at least assume that Victor Timely could make an appearance.
If Victor Timely does indeed debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and they place Timely during the early 1900s similar to the comics, then he would be somewhat present during the 1920s. Blade has been reportedly rumored to be set during the 1920s for quite some time now, so the Victor Timely connection does bear some weight for now.
Mahershala Ali’s Blade will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe prior to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, so getting the beloved daywalker to face a Kang variant would be a sure way to connect him to the larger scope of things. However, no official announcement has been made and all of this information should just be taken as a rumor for the meantime until it is confirmed or debunked by Marvel Studios.
Blade is currently set to release on the 6th of September, 2024.
