Debra Jo Rupp (That ’90s Show), who starred as Mrs. Hart in WandaVision, has seemingly confirmed that Agatha: Coven of Chaos isn’t really a spinoff series.
When talking to Berkshire Magazine back in February of this year, the WandaVision star said that Agatha: Coven of Chaos is actually considered to be WandaVision season 2.

Kathryn Hahn will reprise her WandaVision role as the titular Agatha Harkness in the upcoming MCU series Coven of Chaos for Disney’s streamer. Alongside Hahn includes Rupp who returns as the above-mentioned Mrs. Hart.

Debra Jo Rupp Talks Agatha: Coven of Chaos
Rupp told Berkshire Magazine that Coven of Chaos is the “second season” of WandaVision and went on to explain that each new season is a new “thing”.
“It’s the second season of WandaVision for Marvel [Studios]. It’s very much like American Horror Story, where each season is a whole new kind of a thing.
I was shocked when they called me, because I really thought that would be it, and I was fine with that. But when they called, I got so excited because it’s a character I never get to play. She’s gonna be great fun.”

She also compared the upcoming MCU series to American Horror Story, which her fellow WandaVision star Even Peters also stared in.

“I cannot tell you. I am terrified of these people. They are the most secretive people on the face of the Earth. You are forbidden to talk about anything.
I’m afraid they would come arrest me. This I can tell you: I am basically the same person that I was in Wandavision, Mrs. Hart, but in a different kind of a thing. We’ve shot in LA, and I’m packing now as we speak, to go to Atlanta for two months to continue shooting.”
