Marvel Studios has revealed that their 2023 movie The Marvels will be heading to theatres one day earlier than most parts of the world on November 9th, which comes not long after the reveal that the movie’s original July release date was being delayed by four months to November 10th. The Marvels will technically be a sequel to all three of the main characters, consisting of Brie Larson‘s Captain Marvel, Iman Vellani‘s Ms. Marvel, and Teyonah Parris‘ Monica Rambeau. However, it is considered to be more of a direct sequel to the first Captain Marvel movie but seems to be evolving into more of a team franchise similar to Guardians of the Galaxy or the Eternals movies.
This new release date announcement comes in the form of a new poster, identical to the previously revealed poster, however, this poster comes directly from the Marvel Studios Malaysia Twitter account. In the Malaysian poster for the movie, one detail has been changed, the release date on the footer states that the movie will release on November 9th, with the post’s caption stating “Higher. Further. Faster. Together. Check out the brand-new teaser poster for Marvel Studios’ #TheMarvelsMY, coming to cinemas 9 November.”

Sadly, no new details other than the Malaysia release date have been revealed as of yet, however, it may be safe to expect some sort of trailer to drop sometime in the upcoming months as a trailer is typically released not long after the first poster. The Marvels will now be the latest 2023 MCU release, so far, with projects such as Loki and Secret Invasion still awaiting an official release date announcement from the studio.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has also received an official release date, of course, and is heading directly to cinemas on May 5th, 2023. Parasite‘s Park Seo-joon will be making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in The Marvels, however, details on who Seo-joon is playing have been kept tightly under wraps.
The Marvels will be released in theatres on November 10, 2023. November 9th for Malaysia.
