A recently shared piece of fan art for the Across The Spider-Verse trailer conceptualizes the Spider-Verse Miles Morales meeting Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland’s Spider-Men. Across The Spider-Verse is by far one of the most ambitious Spider-Man movies of all time, with dozens upon dozens of Spider-Man variants appearing in the trailer alone. The Into The Spider-Verse sequel is set to release in cinemas on June 2nd of this year, with the third instalment Beyond The Spider-Verse already slated for a March release in 2024.
If you analyze even the poster for Across The Spider-Verse, you will be able to point out at least a dozen Spider-Man characters who have already been well-established in both comic and tv form. Sony Pictures Entertainment has already confirmed multiple Spider-Man variants for the second instalment of the Spider-Verse franchise, however, there could still be some reveals being kept as a surprise for when the movie comes out this summer. Despite there being no official reveals of any live-action Spider-Man variants appearing, that’s not to say that the concept art designed by artist Arifinity isn’t a possibility.

Animated Spider-Verse Meets Live-Action MCU
In the recently shared fan art, Miles Morales from Across The Spider-Verse is seen meeting the Spider-Man: No Way Home Spider-Man variants. These variants of course are the iconic trio of Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland who as everyone is surely aware already got to take on a bunch of villains together in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s live-action take on a Spider-Verse movie. However, the fan artist also wrote the caption “After seeing the amount of Spider-People in that trailer, there’s no doubt that this will happen.”, theorizing that this moment may become a reality no doubt due to how popular all of these franchises are.
However, despite the fan art not officially stating whether it is depicted in live-action or animated form, it is safe to assume that the concept is that they all meet each other in an animated universe. Although the MCU-related Spider-Men variants have always been in the live-action realm of Hollywood, it would be entirely feasible to crossover these franchises as the MCU has already established in the past that this idea is canonical.
Why This Could Actually Happen One Day
When it comes to the idea of crossing over animated franchises to a live-action adaptation, you may think back to a fair few movies that have already done this in the past, and so has the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Doctor Strange and America Chavez can actually be seen falling through an animated universe for a few seconds while travelling through the multiverse. This was either a sure confirmation that the animated Marvel franchises can easily crossover with the live-action ones, or it was just a fun nod, either way, it has made Arifinity’s concept a near reality nonetheless.
Judging by the number of spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home that made their way to the internet months prior to the release of the movie, it’s safe to assume that the MCU Spider-Men haven’t filmed anything in live-action unless they figured out a spoiler-locked method of achieving this. We won’t know for sure if any major cameos such as the iconic trio are set to appear until the sequel officially releases in cinemas.
