Amazon Italy has revealed everything that is coming to NetherRealm Studios’ first Kombat Pack for their upcoming 2023 game Mortal Kombat 1, details that were not shared in the game studio’s first press release on Thursday, May 18 that dropped alongside the announcement trailer.

A total of 6 playable characters, 5 Kameo characters, and 1 skin have been revealed, both making up the full DLC, which you can see all listed below from the playable characters to the equipable skin.
Homelander (Playable)
Just as recently rumoured, Homelander from The Boys is joining the Mortal Kombat franchise and will be a fully playable character attached to the first DLC entitled “Kombat Pack 1”, a character that has been long requested by the game’s fandom for some time now.
Homelander is essentially a funnier and less PG-13 version of DC’s Superman, with abilities such as laser eyes, flying, enhanced strength, and hearing, among other powers, it’s safe to say that he will be a powerful character in the upcoming Mortal Kombat game.
However, it’s possible that his playable character may be slower than others, as heavy hitters in the franchise have typically been made to be less speedy during combat than characters such as faster-moving characters such as Kung Lao, Mileena, and Takeda.
Quan Chi (Playable)
Fan favourite Quan Chi will also be attached to the first DLC, a character who already exists in the Mortal Kombat franchise, however, it is unclear if this means he will be in the upcoming storyline.
Quan Chi was technically classed as deceased in the Mortal Kombat franchise, however, the previous instalment messed with time travel, timeline changing magic, among other events that eventually just led Liu Kang to reset the entire timeline altogether, causing the franchise to reset to Mortal Kombat 1.
This new instalment may be a reboot but it has been rebooted in a way that no other game has done before, even warning fans during the finale of Mortal Kombat 11 that a timeline reset was coming, it should come as no surprise for die-hard fans in regard to the upcoming reboot.
Omni-Man (Playable)
Omni-Man is finally coming to Mortal Kombat, a character from Invincible and probably one of the most requested DLC characters for the franchise for the last few years, and clearly, NetherRealm Studios were listening with his character being fully playable, voiced, and coming in “Kombat Pack 1”.
Fans will surely be excited with the news of both Omni-Man and Homelander being available as playable characters in the next Mortal Kombat instalment, as both characters have been pinned against each other in many fan debates, fiction, and art due to their similarities in personality and abilities.
Ermac (Playable)
Ermac, a character who exists in the franchise and has played pivotal parts in past storylines, is built up of a plethora of souls, conjured up by the franchise’s evil sorcerer Quan Chi, and with both characters confirmed to be playable, their dialogue should be quite interesting when put against each other.
One thing to consider, similar to Quan Chi, Ermac was actually a dead character in recent Mortal Kombat storylines, however, as mentioned, Mortal Kombat 1 will be going through a timeline reset, meaning that Ermac could also potentially be showing up in the storyline at one point.
What fans do know in the meantime is that Ermac will indeed be a playable character, allowing players to use him against their foes both in local and online matches.
John Cena’s Peacemaker (Playable)
John Cena’s DC character Peacemaker was also rumoured recently to be a playable character in Mortal Kombat 1, something that the new Amazon Italy listing reveals to be true, which comes as no surprise as NetherRealm Studios have been featuring DC characters in their DLCs in each game as of late.
Christopher Smith, aka Peacemaker, is actually just a human with no special abilities, unlike his fellow DC heroes, however, what he does have is an extremely strong spirit mixed with an undying endurance that makes him as unstoppable as Batman, just without the suit.
Peacemaker won’t be the first DC character to join the Mortal Kombat franchise as a playable DLC character, however, he may just be the newest fan favourite once the game releases in August.
Takeda (Playable)
Takeda will also be a playable character in Mortal Kombat 1, a character who has had a strong presence in various Mortal Kombat games, and even had a brief cameo in Mortal Kombat 11, an addition that will please the fans that have wanted to see him return for years now.
Full name Takahashi Takeda, this trained warrior was an apprentice of the iconic Scorpion and is one of the most skilled combatants ever seen in the franchise as of yet.
Jean-Claude Van Damme (Skin) – Already Confirmed
The addition of Jean-Claude Van Damme as a skin for Johnny Cage has already been confirmed, as announced in the first official press release for Mortal Kombat 1, however, Amazon Italy has listed the skin as “Johnny Cage”, meaning that all of the following skins most likely means that they will already be pre-existing playable characters in the game itself.
Using this information, this could potentially mean that skins below such as Tremor, Khameleon, and Mavado, among the rest will officially be in the main storyline.
Tremor (Kameo Character)
Tremor, another Mortal Kombat character, will be coming to the next game in the form of a Kameo Character.
It could be likely that this Kameo character addition could mean that Tremor will be in the main storyline for Mortal Kombat 1, however, that has yet to be revealed.
Khameleon (Kameo Character)
Khameleon does exist in the Mortal Kombat franchise already but has only appeared in the storylines a brief number of times, however, as mentioned above, this Kameo character detail could potentially confirm that she will be a bigger player in the storyline this time around.
Mavado (Kameo Character)
Mavado joined the Mortal Kombat franchise in the early 2000s and hasn’t really been seen much since, however, he has been theorised by plenty of fans to be making his comeback in this next instalment to the series, something that the Amazon Italy listing has revealed to be true.
Johnny Cage (Kameo Character)
Johnny Cage is also listed as a Kameo fighter, alongside having an equitable Jean-Claude Van Damme skin, so it’s highly possible that Cage will once again play a prominent role in the main storyline.

Ferra (Kameo Character)
Last on this list, but not least, Mortal Kombat 1 will see the return of Ferra, however, no mention of Torr was included on the Amazon Italy listing, most likely due to the fact that this Kameo character will just be for Ferra.
