Dave Bautista has officially joined the Mortal Kombat universe, at least for the latest live-action promo trailer for NetherRealm Studios’ upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 game.
The next instalment in the massively popular video game series known as Mortal Kombat 1 is set to release in just a few weeks, and it looks like the studio managed to get Bautista in for an almost 2-minute live-action promotional trailer.
It’s likely that this trailer was filmed prior to the ongoing strikes.

The trailer itself doesn’t offer anything new as far as gameplay goes but Bautista and the dozens of people around him symbolise the hype that surrounds the release for NetherRealm Studios’ 2023 video game Mortal Kombat 1.

It’s even safe to say that this game is one of the most hyped, if not the most hyped game of 2023. Whether its an official announcement or a slightly credible rumour, fans of the series are itching for new updates on a daily basis – as they should be.
Is Dave Bautista In The Mortal Kombat Movies?
As of writing this article, there has been no official announcement of the sort that the Guardians of the Galaxy star has joined the live-action New Line Mortal Kombat movies.

However, judging by this promo, it looks like Bautista would be more than happy to join the cast of Mortal Kombat 2 or its unannounced sequel.
He has been vocal in the past when it comes to game to movie adaptations, such as the Gears of War game where he has been fan cast as its main character Marcus Fenix for several years now.
Mortal Kombat 1 releases on September 14 for early access with the Premium Edition and on the 19 for Standard Edition owners. It’ll be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC Via Epic Games Store and Steam.
