MultiVersus May Be Dying As Fans Lose Interest Due To Lack Of Content

The once popular game 'MultiVersus' has been revealed to be losing the interest of gamers possibly due to the lack of content from the publishers.

MultiVersus May Be Dying As Fans Lose Interest Due To Lack Of Content

The popular crossover fighting game MultiVersus has been revealed to have lost thousands of interested players since its original release in 2022, which had over 150,000 players in the launch week alone. What was once one of the most talked about games on the internet has now less than 1000 players active on the game, with speculation that it could be mostly due to the lack of new content with the last update being in January.

The game itself, for those who haven’t played, is a franchise crossover fighting game that allows players to fight as popular characters from Warner Bros. and WB-related franchises, in a Super Smash Bros. style. Superheros and Villains from the DC universe were evidently one of the most popular choices for the game’s fans, while characters from franchises such as Cartoon Network, Looney Tunes, and more were a close second.

MultiVersus may still be able to redeem their losses as they are still working on updates for the second season of the game, similar to the popular model that Fortnite uses. It has also been said in the past that games such as MultiVersus may struggle to compete with the more popular competition such as Apex Legends and Fortnite, but plans are still in full swing over at the labs of MultiVersus, with no announcements of things stopping anytime soon.

It has been said within the gaming community online that MultiVersus could maybe develop some new content inspired by the 2023 DC movie The Flash, which would most likely pull in the DC fans who once played the game back in 2022. However, no official details on what’s coming next for the game have been revealed as of yet, with the remaining fans of the game patiently waiting to see where they take it going forward.
