It’s been four years now since Adam Sandler and Jenifer Aniston’s Murder Mystery film on Netflix was released, with new details just emerging on when we can expect the sequel to release. USA Today provided a significant update on the film’s release status while also gifting us all with a first look.
In the new image from the film attached below, you can see a snazzy-styled Sandler and Aniston, looking far more suaver than they did in the first movie. The new look from the two characters could potentially raise dozens of questions, but luckily the expected release date isn’t too far away.
Murder Mystery 2 Release Date
It has now been revealed that the sequel will hopefully be premiering on Netflix sometime in March of 2023, only two months away from writing this news article.
Where we can expect to see new cast members such as Mark Strong, Jodie Turner-Smith, and more join the franchise as they all solve a kidnapping case this time round.
What Will This One Be About?
According to the small piece of plot information provided in USA Today’s exclusive, it looks like this film will be more focused on a wedding, with the groom himself being the main victim.
“Detective couple Audrey and Nick get involved in some international intrigue when their pal is kidnapped at his own wedding in the comedy sequel.”
Despite the sequel’s plans to premier in roughly two months or so, there are still a lot of details being kept under wraps, such as plot details and who the majority of the cast members are actually playing.
However, it wouldn’t be much of a mystery if the streaming platform gave everything away, would it now?
