Nathan Fillion (Firefly, The Suicide Squad) has officially been cast as DC’s Guy Gardner aka Green Lantern in James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy.
Additional announced by Vanity Fair includes Edi Gathegi (Caged) as Mr. Terrific and Isabela Merced (Transformers: The Last Knight) as Hawkgirl.

The three new cast members for Gunn’s 2025 Superman reboot will join the recently announced David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan who were confirmed by Gunn to be starring as Superman and Lois Lane.
Additional casting for characters like Lex Luthor has yet to be announced by the cast and crew of Superman: Legacy.
Lex Luthor was recently reported to have various actors in talks to nab such as brothers Alexander and Bill Skarsgård.

However, the addition of an official Green Lantern played by Fillion seemingly reveals the plans to kickstart the newly planned DCU.
Will There Be More Green Lanterns?
Rumours have even been thrown around recently that Tom Cruise may be in talks to join the new DC Universe, which fans believe may be for another famous Green Lantern known as Hal Jordan.
Cruise’s casting rumours have yet to be addressed by DC heads Gunn and Safran or the teams behind any upcoming DCU projects.

As of writing, further plot and casting details for Superman: Legacy are being kept under wraps but additional news is expected to drop soon.
One thing’s for sure though and that’s Nathan Fillion, Edi Gathegi, and Isabela Merced will officially be starring in the 2025 DCU title.
