It has been over a year now since the release of the second season of Netflix’s Ragnarok series, the show that takes Norse Mythology into a brand new modern twist from the original lore. Since then, fans of the series have been eagerly waiting for updates on the status of the third season, which was confirmed to be in production back in mid-2022.
Well, Netflix has now provided a new update that the third season is still indeed set for a 2023 release, via a post on their Netflix Nordic Instagram account. The post features a list of shows and movies that have been confirmed to be coming out in 2023, along with shows such as Outer Banks: S3, The Witcher: S3, and Heartstopper: S2.
Ragnarok Season 3 May Be Slotted For Late 2023
Ragnarok: Season 3 is listed alongside the other series that will be debuting on Netflix this year, however, the titles listed may have a hint as to when to expect the third season to release officially. Sadly, a specific release date has yet to be announced for the show’s third installment, but due to the order of the shows listed, it could be heading for a late 2023 release – potentially around October to December of this year.
Ragnarok‘s first two seasons both debuted on Netflix during the month of January, with season one being released in 2020 and the second in 2022, with the third season changing this pattern of release entirely. David Stakston will be returning for the third time to portray his role of Magne Seier along with fellow returning cast members such as Jonas Strand Gravli, Herman Tømmeraas, Theresa Frostad Eggesbø, plus more both old and new.
