Netflix’s Wednesday star Emma Myers has officially been cast as the lead character in BBC‘s adaptation of Holly Jackson’s bestselling murder mystery thriller novel A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder.
Myers broke out worldwide when starring as the teen werewolf character Enid Sinclair alongside Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams in Tim Burton’s Wednesday series for Netflix.
She will now be starring as Pip Fitz-Amobi who is described as a smart and single-minded girl who has doubts as to if a schoolgirl named Andie Bell was murdered by her boyfriend whose name is Sal Singh.
Set to be a good old-fashioned murder mystery if Sal Singh isn’t truly the real murderer then that means the one who did take Andie Bell’s life is out there somewhere trying to keep all the dark secrets buried.
Myers will star alongside newcomer Zain Iqbal who plays Ravi, both characters of course being from Jackson’s best seller.
Poppy Cogan (Red Rose) is set to write the series with Dolly Wells (Dracula) directing the series adaptation.
The series is expected to begin filming in England later this year so a 2025 release window might be expected. However, a release date has not yet been announced as of writing this article.
“From the moment we announced that A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder was coming to the BBC I know there’s been a huge amount of speculation from fans about who will play Pip and Ravi (…) in Emma and Zain we’ve found two actors who embody the characters so perfectly it will feel as though they’ve stepped straight from the pages of Holly’s books on to our screens. I can’t wait for BBC Three viewers to see them in action.”
