A new trailer promo for Sony’s upcoming animated Marvel movie Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse has provided the best look yet at Karan Soni’s Pavitr Prabhakar, aka Spider-Man India, with plenty of new dialogue, footage, and Spider-Man swinging action.
Soni will officially be joining the Spider-Verse franchise as an official Spider-Man variant, previously known in the Marvel world for playing the live-action Dopinder in both Deadpool movies, recently being announced to be returning for the third over at Marvel Studios.
However, similar to Hailee Steinfeld who plays both Gwen Stacy in the animated Marvel universe and Kate Bishop in the live-action MCU, Soni will now also be known for playing two different characters, which could all exist in the same multiverse if theories on how the two may connect in the future end up becoming a reality. Soni’s Spider-Man is set to be one of the most prominent characters in the upcoming sequel to Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, with the potential that he may be a returning character or the future threequel currently entitled Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse.
The third instalment is set to come to theatres on the 29th of March in 2024, with rumours that these next two instalments will bridge a connection between the live-action franchises such as Tom Hardy’s Venom universe and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man universe, aka the MCU.
Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse comes to theatres on June 2, 2023.
