Tickets for Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania are now on sale! With only one month to go before the movie releases, promotional stills are being released, with more information regarding the threequel. Two new characters from the movie have been revealed by Empire Magazine.
Quaz and Jentorra
William Jackson Harper’s Quaz (possibly derived from Quasar in the comics) is a telepath, and that’s pretty much it. Next to him (out of focus) is Katy M. O’Brian’s Jentorra, who is a freedom fighter. Although we don’t know much about Quaz, a character description for Jentorra was released alongside the official trailer.
Earlier this month, a press release from Disney gave us a detailed description of Jentorra:
Jentorra is the strong and respected leader of the Freedom Fighters—a group of displaced inhabitants in the Quantum Realm whose lives were turned upside down by Kang. She doesn’t have time for Scott, Cassie and their problems—and worse, their presence alone puts Jentorra’s crew in grave danger.
In an interview with Empire, Kevin Feige explained the decision to switch release dates for The Marvels and Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania. He said, “We wanted to kick off Phase Five with Ant-Man because he’d earned that position,” and that he wanted the character “to not simply be the back-up or the comic relief, but to take his position at the front of the podium of the MCU.”
Quantumania writer Jeff Loveness said: “The first discussion we had was, ‘What if Ant-Man is accidentally in an Avengers movie by himself?”.
Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania releases in theaters on February 17. Tickets are now on sale.
