Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 offered some of the most comic-accurate suit designs seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet, with an almost identical to the original Marvel Comics adaptation of Guardians of the Galaxy, it was just one out of many perfect nods that wrapped up the trilogy once and for all.
Now that the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie has hit theatres, the cast and crew have been taking to the web to finally let out some of their long-kept silent thoughts, with artists also releasing some never before seen concept art for the threequel, at least not by the public that is, with new concept art that focuses on the team’s new suits in its entirety, really highlighting and showcasing the comic accurate feel.
New Guardians’ Suit Concept Art Revealed
As said, concept artists can now talk and share some of the designs that they worked on for the 2023 Marvel Studios flick Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, with plenty of concept art already starting to hit the web, it’s safe to say that fans still have plenty of weeks, if not months, of Guardians-related content coming their way from both the cast and crew of the franchise’s third major instalment.
The first set of images (below) comes from an artist named Christian Cordella, who took to Instagram @christiancordellaofficial to post six stunning concept art images for the main team lineup. Cordella confirms in the same social post that the concept art images you see below were designed to mainly focus on the team’s uniform, which bears an almost identical resemblance to the comics.
Cordells wrote “I feel so proud that I worked on the official uniforms for the movie “Guardian of the Galaxy volume 3”. It was an amazing feeling seeing them coming to life on the big screen and wore by all the charatchers. A special thank you to the amazing costume designer Judianna Makovsky.”
The next set of concept images (below) comes from an artist named Rob Brunette, who took to Instagram @robbrunette to post three new concept images, this time of Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, aka Peter Quill, showing off the comic-accurate design along with Quill’s blasters being held up in the air.
Brunette wrote “It was such an incredible honour to work on the main cast of the Guardians. Guardians Vol. 1 made me fall in love with the MCU, so it was important to me to do a great job with these characters. I’m really proud of my illustrations for this project and am excited to share them with you over the next few weeks.”
Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 now plays in theatres worldwide.
