A new video shared to X (formerly known as Twitter) claims to show what seems to be the exterior case for the rumoured PlayStation 5 Slim model.
The video was shared to the social media website by a user called @BwE_Dev, the video in question has been viewed over 5 million times on the post alone.
However, theories online may potentially debunk claims that this is the model for the PS5 Slim, as it could in fact just be a typical-sized model with some new features.

Other theories have suggested that the video may just be a fake with points being made that the case has no internal parts, potentially meaning it was 3D-printed.
As to which theory comes closest to being correct has not been revealed as of writing, you can watch the original video posted by BwE below.
As mentioned, this video seems to only show the outer case for the “leaked” PlayStation 5 Slim model, with the post’s caption somewhat confirming that it is indeed just the case. The video has garnered hundreds of comments comparing this case to the original PS5 design.
PlayStation 5’s Detchable Disk Drive?
Most have pointed out that this supposed PlayStation 5 Slim model isn’t as slim as you would expect it to be, which has caused many to believe the video is fake.
This could be due to the fact that the case isn’t designed to be a traditional “Slim” console, but an optional “Slim” console with detachable parts.
One good point that has been made is that the case seems to have a detachable disk drive, hence the large gapped line in the middle of the supposed PS5 Slim case.
Sony is just one game console-producing company to lean further toward the digital future of gaming, with one of their PS5 consoles being purely digital.

Xbox is also known for going purely digital with its consoles.
This new supposed model could serve as both a disk and digital console combined, allowing PlayStation owners to detach and attach a disk drive.
It has also been theorised that, if true, Sony could aim to sell the detachable disk drive separately from the console itself. This adds fuel that the console will in fact be sold as a PS5 Slim model with the option to attach a disk drive and make it bulky.
As of writing, no new PlayStation 5 Slim console has been announced by Sony.
