First Report: The updated and extended synopsis for the second season of Marvel Studios’ Loki has officially been revealed via its latest press release.
New cast and crew members for the second season were also confirmed thanks to Disney’s latest release for the upcoming Loki instalment.

“Loki” Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.
New Cast Members Revealed
Actress Liz Carr (Silent Witness, Good Omens) is confirmed to star in the second season of Loki. Her character has yet to be revealed and it’s currently unclear as to how many episodes she will be starring in.
Confirmed to return thanks to the new information is Neil Ellice‘s Hunter D-90 from Loki season 1. Ellice starred in four episodes of the first instalment. He also serves as the voice for Soap MacTavish for the revamped Modern Warfare game series.
Returning cast members include Tom Hiddleston who stars as the titular character once again, Sofia di Martino as Sylvie, Owen Wilson as Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Judge Renslayer, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, Eugene Cordero as Casey.
Tara Strong also returns as the voice of the eerie Miss Minutes.
New Loki Season 2 Directors Revealed
Avengers: Endgame visual effects supervisor Dan Deleeuw and Loki season one production designer Kasra Farhani are both listed as directors for the second season of the series as revealed by the updated information.

As to which Loki season 2 episodes Deleeuw and Farhani are directing has yet to be revealed. It’s possible that this information won’t be revealed until the episodes premiere on Disney+ starting this October.
