Sony’s next Spider-Man film ‘Across The Spider-Verse’ is all the rage right now since the recent debut of the official trailer sent the Marvel fan base into a wild frenzy of excitement.
Now, thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have a new look at Miles Morales and the main villain of the film ‘The Spot’, which you can see below.
In the new still, yes, you can see Miles Morales standing in quite a messy aisle in what appears to be a grocery store, but you can also see the upcoming villain known as ‘The Spot’ too.
Miles Morales vs The Spot
The two blurry white and black spotted legs that can be seen at the front of the image, belong to the soon-to-be villain of the next two instalments; ‘The Spot’.
This villain has been confirmed to be the true antagonist of the film, and in the sequel ‘Beyond The Spider-Verse’, a villain who can open interdimensional portals to use to his advantage.
What To Expect?
The hype for this movie may just make it the most anticipated Marvel movie of 2023, with theories and speculation soaring on the internet on what we could expect to see. There has been no official news on if Tom Holland will appear in this movie, despite the fact that Sony and Marvel Studios are working very closely on their separate Spider-Man properties.
However, there was that moment in Sony’s Morbius film where we got to see MCU’s Vulture appear briefly to set up some sort of plan to go against Spider-Man. So, are the two studios secretly planning something bigger when it comes to the Spider-Verse?
Rumours of Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and even Tobey Maguire appearing have been thrown around regularly online, which isn’t the craziest thing that could happen. Spider-Man: No Way Home clearly proved that a live-action Spider-Verse movie can also work, bringing back legacy Marvel actors to reprise their roles for the MCU.
It is highly possible that the animated universes are a part of the grander multiverse connected to the MCU since we got to momentarily see an animated universe in Doctor Strange 2.
However, rumours and speculation are nothing without official confirmation, so we will just have to wait and see what happens. If this will be anything like the No Way Home era, we may even have to wait until the movie actually releases in theatres before finding out anything!
