Brand new looks and details for Marvel Studios’ upcoming MCU series for Disney+ entitled Secret Invasion, based on the immensely popular series from Marvel Comics, have finally been revealed, along with details from the cast.
When talking to Vanity Fair about the upcoming MCU series, Samuel L. Jackson who stars as Nick Fury said “We don’t know who’s a friend, who’s the enemy”, about the series’ antagonists known as the Skrulls, who can transform their appearance to look like anybody or anything, making them one of Marvel’s most advanced species.
“There’s a political aspect that kind of fits into where we are right now. Who’s okay, who’s not? What happens when people get afraid and don’t understand other people? You can’t tell who’s innocent and who’s guilty in this particular instance.”

New ‘Secret Invasion’ Still Images In HD
Samuel L. Jackson stars as Nick Fury in Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion in this brand new look (above) of the upcoming series for Disney Plus.
Emilia Clarke will be starring as Marvel’s G’iah (pronounced “Guy-ah”), a fellow Skrull who is detailed to have issues with Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos “that go far deeper than most”.
Jackson confirms that Clarke will be the daughter of Talos, as he told Vanity Fair “Remember when Ben was there with his wife and daughter? (…) She’s the little Skrull girl grown up. She’s his daughter.”
Talos’ daughter was last seen in Captain Marvel, which was set in 1995, around three decades before Secret Invasion‘s setting in the mid-2020s.
Secret Invasion will see the return of Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos, who previously appeared in projects such as Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home, also a Skrull, Talos is a long ally to Jackson’s Nick Fury.
Kingsley Ben-Adir will be starring as a rebel Skrull leader known as Gravik in the Secret Invasion series, credited for being the Skrull who starts the chaos, being the “resistance leader who has radicalized them [some of the Skrulls]”.
Cobie Smulders returns as Maria Hill in Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion, Smulders is a long-running star in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, first appearing in The Avengers (2012).
Olivia Colman will be starring as Sonya Falsworth in Secret Invasion, a character that Jackson describes as being “coldblooded” and also somebody that fans have “never seen her play”.
In the image above, a Skrull looks at their true form in a mirror, however, it hasn’t been shared as to who is playing this Skrull, with speculation already rising that this could be our first look at Emilia Clarke in full Skrull form.

Martin Freeman returns as Everett K. Ross in Secret Invasion, Freeman first appeared as Ross in Marvel Studios’ first and second Black Panther instalments and seems to be a reoccurring character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Secret Invasion comes to Disney+ sometime in 2023, a specific release date has not been revealed as of writing this article.
