Possible spoilers for Marvel Studios’ Blade inside, however, this report also comes with no confirmation from the cast and crew of Blade, and should be taken as a rumor.
A new report for Marvel Studios’ Blade posted by the well-known industry scooper Daniel Richtman comes with new casting information about the 2024 MCU movie. In the new Blade report, it states that the role of “ZORA“ is currently being cast for the movie, with details that the character will be a Black female around 8 to 11 years old, and will be playing a “lead role“.
There are no other details about the “ZORA“ character in the report, but if Marvel Comics are anything to go by, she could potentially be Zora Vukovic, also known as Victorious and ex-fiancé of Doctor Doom. It should also be noted that the name “ZORA“ on the reported casting call for Blade could also just be a codename, to prevent spoiling which character is truly being sought out for.
However, Zora Vukovic would be an amazing addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as Zora has direct ties to the Fantastic Four movie that will be released only months after Blade. Zora Vukovic made her first appearance in the Fantastic Four (Vol. 6 #1) comic issue that was originally released in August of 2018.

Who Is Zora Vukovic In Marvel?
Since the debut of Zora Vukovic in Marvel Comics back in 2018, there hasn’t been too much of a presence from the character relative to the more well-known Marvel characters in the comics world. However, in the limited amount of issues that Vukovic appears in, there are definitely some interesting elements that would work well with the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Just like Doctor Doom, Vukovic is also from Marvel’s Latveria despite being born in Symkaria, growing up to love her home of Latveria and even leading a rebel force to protect it. Similar to Wakanda, Latveria is also a fictional country that was created for Marvel Comics which hasn’t had an official MCU debut, yet. However, many fans believed that Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight traveled there in episode 1 of the Moon Knight series, but nothing was confirmed.
In the comics, Zora managed to convince Doctor Doom himself to help her cause and even reclaim his throne in Latveria, later becoming his fiancé for a brief period. In later issues, Zora ends up teaming with members of the Fantastic Four, even sparking a slight romance stint with the Human Torch which causes her relationship with Doom to become a bit fragile.
Will Zora Vukovic Be In Blade?
Although Zora Vukovic, aka Victorious, is indeed an interesting character that has multiple ties to both the Fantastic Four and Doctor Doom. It is just too early to tell as there just isn’t really any source material to explain why her character would be more attached to a Blade project unless it is a completely different character being cast.
Not to mention the fact that the casting information states that the role of “ZORA“ will be a child around the age of 8 to 11, which could be pointing more toward the introduction of a future Young Avenger. Blade does have a Daughter called Brielle Brooks in Marvel Comics, which could potentially be the true character being written for the movie.
Sadly, however, this report comes with no official confirmation or announcement and should be taken as a rumor only.
