A new look at Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang from Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has been revealed via new promotional art for the movie. Cassie Lang has been known as both Stinger and Stature in Marvel Comics and will be making her official suited debut in the third Ant-Man installment this February. Abby Ryder Fortson originally played Cassie Lang, full name Cassandra, in the first Ant-Man movie with Emma Fuhrmann taking the role of five-year-older Cassie in Avengers: Endgame. Kathryn Newton ended up replacing Fuhrmann as Cassie Lang for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania due to Marvel Studios reportedly wanting a bigger star for the role.
However, Emma Fuhmann’s recasting doesn’t rule her out to take on a future role at some point in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s long road of projects ahead of Quantumania. Kevin Feige is well-known by the Marvel fandom for being very specific when casting for roles in the MCU, it could be that Fuhmann has just been spotted for another character, or is being saved for something unknown. Nevertheless, Cassie Lang is still very much going to play a large role in both Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and most likely Young Avengers lineup, with this new piece of promo art revealing in even further detail on how detailed her suit will be.

New Cassie Lang Promo Art Revealed
We’ve had some good glimpses of Cassie’s suit in the upcoming Ant-Man installment through the form of promotional footage in both video and image, but this new promo art really shows off the overall design with the helmet on. In the new promo art, Cassie Lang’s suit stands alongside Scott Lang and Hope Pym who can also be seen in full suit form. Scott Lang is played by Paul Rudd, Hope Pym is played by Evangeline Lily, and they have appeared in several MCU projects with several new suit designs along the way. However, this will be Cassie Lang’s first-ever official “Ant-Man” suit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with new suits for the character to be surely revealed in future projects. You can see the first out of the multiple promo images revealed below, plus the Wasp and Ant-Man himself.

In the promo art, it is visibly more clear that Cassie Lang seems to be wearing a pair of normal-looking purple-laced shoes which goes with her overall color scheme. The chest plate seems to adopt a few designs from both Ant-Man and the Wasp’s suits as the V-shape bears more resemblance to the Wasp with a belt-shaped design around the waist that contains a little piece of red just like Ant-Man’s iconic belt. The helmet, however, appears to be far more similar to the Scott Lang Ant-Man helmet but with a more bulky shape and larger eyes that are also purple.
In the next two images, both Ant-Man and the Wasp are treated to a special poster along with another poster featuring just Cassie Lang and Ant-Man. In the image with Cassie, her helmet appears to actually be less bulky when compared to the earlier image shown above in this article. The helmet design in this new image comes across as being almost exactly like Ant-Man’s helmet, and far less bulky which must just be due to the characters all looking in the same direction compared to the perspective of the previous image.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania comes out in cinemas on the 17th of February, 2023.
