Marvel Studios‘ second season of I am Groot was first officially confirmed to be in development during Marvel Studios’ San Diego Comic-Con panel, after which there was a vacuum of news regarding the release status of the series.
Nearly a year after the initial announcement, fans have received a positive release update for the photorealistic series.
According to the popular tipster outlet The Cosmic Circus, the second season of I Am Groot is set to premiere this fall, possibly around early September.

The Secret Invasion finale releases on July 26, and the second season of Loki premieres on Disney+ on October 6 this year. This would place I Am Groot season 2 between the two series in Marvel Studios’ release calendar.
Season 2 of I am Groot is expected to have an all-episode premiere, just like the preceding season and Echo which releases on November 29.
The Watcher Returns To The MCU
The Cosmic Circus also reported that Jeffrey Wright will reprise his role as Uatu The Watcher, who served as the narrator in the animated series What If…?, which paved the way for the MCU to explore other universes in future projects.

Jeffrey Wright has also been confirmed to return as The Watcher in What If…? Season 2, which was scheduled to release in early 2023 but got delayed to next year
