Potential, but unconfirmed, minor spoilers for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is deep into production on the second season for Amazon Prime Video, with set footage and analysed information being shared online on an almost weekly basis.
Amongst the various reports circulating the web in regard to the second season, new information on Morfydd Clark’s Galadriel has surfaced from the well-known Tolkien news source Fellowship of Fans, with some exclusive details that involve Galadriel not having the best of time with the already established Adar character, who will now be played by Sam Hazeldine, previously portrayed by Joseph Mawle in Season 1.
Galadriel Gets Captured By Adar?
It may come as no surprise that Galadriel and Adar aren’t exactly on the best of terms, not that they would be when taking into consideration Galadriel comes from the Elves and Adar being the species that Elves find most revolting, Orcs, mostly due to the fact that Orcs once were Elves, or at least came from Elves originally.

In the new plot details provided by Fellowship of Fans, it is stated that Clark’s Galadriel will be “captured by Adar and the Orcs at some point” during the second season of The Rings of Power, however, that is where the newly reported information ends.
It would seem strange that Galadriel could be taken down by Adar and his Orc minions unless she is perhaps up to something, maybe she wants them to capture her so that she can be escorted directly to the heart of Mordor, assuming that is where they are based.
Adar claims to have killed Sauron during Season 1, which is evidently not true as Halbrand played by Charlie Vickers is revealed to be Sauron during the finale of the first season, which most likely means Adar was a part of Sauron’s plan for the whole time.
Whether these details are accurate or not, fans of Tolkien’s work will just have to wait and see what Galadriel gets up to during the second season.
Amazon Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 is expected to premiere in 2024.
