Marvel Studios’ latest promotional teaser for The Marvels seems to be hinting at its long-rumoured inclusion of the X-Men universe, as well as at least one cameo – judging by the footage shown.
Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel in the sequel The Marvels.
It seems that Disney’s marketing team is pulling out all the stops in order to boost ticket sales as the latest promo entitled “What Comes Next” drops some major spoilers for what to expect to happen during the movie.
New The Marvels Promo Teases X-Men
Parris’ Monica Rambeau can be heard saying “There’s a different reality bleeding into others” in the new teaser promo, just moments before the letter “X” is highlighted during a fade-out of the words “comes next”.
Combining the two hints of an alternative reality “bleeding” into the main MCU and the letter “X” being strongly highlighted, it’s seemingly clear that the X-Men are being heavily teased to appear in The Marvels.
This may confirm rumours that have been floating around the web as of late, however, no specific spoiler-filled details of any X-Men universe/character being included have been shared as of writing. It’s safe to say that the movie’s marketing team are trying to preserve as much as possible for moviegoers to experience themselves next month.
X-Men Footage Shown During The Marvels Promo
One final hint that the latest promotional teaser provides is a first look at what appears to be an X-Men character walking in front of Parris’ Monica Rambeau.
It’s unclear as to where Monica is in the scene, however, it seems that she could potentially be inside the X-Men mansion as the character can be seen fully suited up in what also appears to be an X-Men costume.
However, nothing has been confirmed yet and that’s just a rough guess as to what this new footage is showing. It’s also unclear as to which X-Men character this is, the costume is similar to Storm in some aspects, but not all, so MCU fans will just have to wait a little longer before finding out who exactly this is!
