The cast of Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse includes Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, Issa Rae as Jessica Drew, Daniel Kaluuya as Hobart ‘Hobie’ Brown, Karan Soni as Pavitr Prabhakar, Jason Schwartzman as The Spot, Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson Davis, Luna Lauren Velez as Rio Morales, Greta Lee as Lyla. Rachel Dratch as School Counsellor, Jorma Taccone as Medieval Vulture, and Shea Whigham as George Stacy.
New TV spots for the movie have been released by Columbia Pictures Philippines on Youtube, which you can view below:
In this spot, Miguel O’Hara (voiced by Oscar Isaac) describes the Spider-Society as an “elite strike force dedicated to the security of the multiverse.”
We finally get to hear Daniel Kaluuya as Hobart ‘Hobie’ Brown aka Spider-Punk, when Miles asks him how he looks even cooler under the mask.
This 30-second TV Spot was previously released in German by Sony Pictures Germany last week. Gwen talks about how Spider-Gwen falls for Spider-Man in every other universe, and how it never ends well. New footage from the chase sequence between Miguel and Miles are also featured.
Footage from Spider-Gwen and Spider-Man 2099’s first encounter is featured in this spot. Gwen and Miguel’s paths will apparently converge while fighting Mediavel Vulture, voiced by Jorma Taccone.
This spot follows the same basic format as the previous one, except that it showcases Miles’ powers, including invisibility and bioelectric powers.
Miles accidentally wrecks Brooklyn’s power supply while fighting a robotic foe.
Gwen follows up on Miguel’s rant about the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home by saying, “Who’s Doctor Strange? sounds like he maybe shouldn’t practice medicine.”
Gwen and Miles do the whole “Spider-Introduction” by saying lines alternatively; this probably occurs at the Spider-Society headquarters, or after the climactic events of the movie.
The stinger in this spot is a shot of Pavitr Prabhakar, Gwen, Miles, and Hobart standing in front of what seems to be a Super-Collider, which causes an explosion with the Hindi text “Dhamaka!!”, which literally stands for “Boom!”.
In the spot above, Doctor Octopus can be heard saying “Hello, Peter” in an almost identical, if not the same, to Alfred Molina in Spider-Man: No Way Home when he says the exact same thing to Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man.
Another stinger in this promo is a quick shot of Peggy Lu as Mrs. Chen from the Tom Hardy Venom franchise, as she interacts with The Spot through a portal, mixing Miles Morales’ animated franchise with Hardy’s live-action universe.
You can read the synopsis of the movie below:
