New Daryl Dixon images and details are below!
From filming in the eerie Catacombs to the beautiful Louvre, Norman Reedus and his fellow The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon cast sure did a lot.
Reedus who has starred as The Walking Dead character Daryl Dixon since 2010 will be debuting in his own spinoff series in September, now making him the titular character for the first time in the franchise.
AMC has been dropping little teasers and hints these past few weeks that give a sneak peek at what to expect for what Daryl will be getting up to.

So far we’ve seen Daryl literally float across the ocean, arrive in France mysteriously, and travel through its beautiful yet post-apocalyptic landscapes in search of what seemingly appears to be answers.
First Episode Details Revealed
While talking to Entertainment Weekly, Reedus revealed some details from the first episode of The Walking Dead spinoff series Daryl Dixon.
Reedus explained that “the first episode” sets “the tone of where” the characters are, which confirms that the series will be diving straight into Franch from the jump.

This new method for the franchise was also seen in fellow spinoff series Dead City, starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan.
Most Footage Shown So Far Is Just Episode 1
Despite there being various short teaser promos for the upcoming spinoff, Reedus confirmed that most of them are from “the first episode”.
“These teasers of me in the countryside – it’s a lot of the first episode. So that first episode is a lot of, #Where the f*** am I?’ And ‘Wow, look where I’m at.’”
Something that too many promotional teasers and trailers can do for highly anticipated titles such as Daryl Dixon is spoiling things too early.

However, this new update confirms that AMC is still keeping plenty of the show’s details under wraps besides the short snippets released so far.
Daryl Dixon Doesn’t Know He’s In France
It had already been confirmed that Reedus’ Daryl Dixon wasn’t going to be sure as to how he actually got to France in his spinoff, however, it has now been confirmed that he also won’t know he’s in France at all.
“Also, ‘Daryl’s there?’ But he’s not even sure where the f*** he is and how this works.” is what Reedus had to say when speaking to Entertainment Weekly.

Interestingly revealing that Daryl won’t have a clue as to where he is or how he got there, at least for the earlier parts of the upcoming episodes.
New Filming Locations Revealed
Although we knew the series was filmed in France, new filming locations within the country have been shared by the series’ titular actor Reedus.
Reedus revealed that they got to film some scenes in “certain places that people don’t usually get to shoot in.” Some locations confirmed are “the Catacombs” and “the Louvre”, among other locations “all over the place.”
San Diego Comic-Con 2023 Panel Update
San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) originally had plans this year to host a giant two-and-a-half-hour panel for The Walking Dead Universe, these plans were recently changed due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WAG strikes.
AMC has been confirmed to still be hosting a “Walking Dead Universe Fan Watch Party” at Hall H on Friday 21 at 1 pm PT, along with confirmation that the first full trailer for Daryl Dixon will be debuted during the same time.

New Character Details: Laurent
A new Daryl Dixon series character called Laurent (above) has been confirmed to be played by Louis Puech Scigliuzzi.
He is described as “an 11-year-old boy born just as the hungry ones appeared, he grew up in an abbey protected by nuns, shielded from the violence of the outside world. He seems insightful and wise beyond his years.”
“The Hungry Ones” has been assumed to be the name for the zombies, at least the name Laurent’s community calls them.
New Character Details: Isabelle
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire star Clémence Poésy stars as Isabelle in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, something fans were already aware of.
However, new details describe Isabelle as a “smart, headstrong nun capable of protecting herself and the people she loves, Isabelle escaped to the countryside when the hungry ones arrived.”
