The Last of Us and The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal is reportedly being eyed to star as Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic in Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four movie, according to the latest report from Deadline Hollywood.
Deadline reported Wednesday, November 15 that Pascal is in talks with Marvel Studios as we write this article, however, a deal between the two is currently “far from done”.
It is also noted that insiders close to the project shared information that “scheduling is still being worked out”, due to Pascal’s schedule being fairly full with other projects such as The Last of Us season two over with HBO for Max.

However, it’s also noted that “multiple sources” close to the movie’s negotiations tell Deadline that the deal for Pascal to play Reed Richards is “headed in the right direction for Pascal to do this and his other future projects.”
Additionally, Pascal’s schedule also includes Gladiator 2, a movie that the actor has publicly said is a high priority for him – hence why Disney and Marvel Studios will need to work around his scheduling.
Marvel Studios, as of the writing of this article, has yet to comment on the report.
Now That Marvel Has Reed, They Can Cast Everyone Else
It’s been said various times in the recent past that Marvel Studios were making it an essential part of the casting process to find somebody to play Reed Richards first, as the actor’s age would help them figure out age ranges for additional characters such as Susan Storm and Doctor Doom.
