Actor Percy Hynes White, 22, has reportedly been written out of the second season of the massively successful Wednesday series over at Netflix, nine months after being accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a party in Toronto.
News of White being written out of the show was shared by Daily Mail through their industry insider sources. This news has not been shared officially by Netflix or the cast and crew of Wednesday season 2.
White starred alongside series lead Jenna Ortega as Xavier Thorpe in the first Tim Burton-helmed Wednesday series, a spinoff to the Addams Family.
Despite being set up as somewhat of a romantic interest to Wednesday Addams, Ortega has mentioned in the past that she would like to strip the second season of Wednesday’s romantic life to focus more on the fantasy elements.
White’s rising star status due to Wednesday came after appearances in projects such as The Gifted and The Twilight Zone. However, since the original allegations were posted by an anonymous social media user in a now-deleted Tweet back on January 18, it’s unclear what lies ahead.
Netflix’s Wednesday Season 2 has not yet shared a public release date.
