As per the United Agents website, Thorn will be starring as a character called Ensign Eurus in The Acolyte. This has yet to be officially announced by the cast and crew of the series. Similar to the announcement not yet being made, the character itself has also yet to be announced for the 2024 series set in the Star Wars universe.
However, the name itself may confirm a vital character detail for Thorn’s Eurus.
Is Abigail Thorn Playing An Ensign In The Acolyte?
Judging by the character name provided by the United Agents information. It looks like Thorn could very well be a Republic officer as an “Ensign” is typically the lowest ranking officer as per the Star Wars fandom website.
“Ensign was the lowest rating of officer within most space navies, being bestowed upon a being immediately after graduating from a service academy.
This rank was the lowest officer line rank used by the Imperial Navy and ranked below Junior Lieutenant. Ensigns held a position of midshipmen.”StarWars.Fandom
Alongside Thorn includes cast members Dafne Keen, Amandla Stenberg, Jodie Turner-Smith, Joonas Suotamo, Carrie-Anne Moss, Margarita Levieva, Dean-Charles Chapman, Charlie Barnett, Rebecca Henderson, James Henri-Thomas, with Manny Jacinto, and Lee Jung-jae.
Besides the brief few updates for the series, plot and character details are currently being kept under wraps.
The Acolyte is expected to release on Disney+ sometime in 2024.
