New set images of the Rick & Michonne (TWD: SUMMIT) spin-off series set in the same universe as The Walking Dead confirm that Pollyanna McIntosh‘s Jadis, also known as Anne, is filming scenes with Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes.
McIntosh played the character of Jadis in both The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond, and played a vital role in saving Rick Grimes, while also entrapping him in the evil clutches of the Civil Republic, with the revelation in ‘World Beyond’ that Jadis herself later climbed ranks within the CR’s Military, also known as the CRM.
New ‘Rick & Michonne’ Set Images (Breakdown)
This first image shows Lincoln and McIntosh filming scenes together, in what seems to be the heart of the Civil Replublic.
McIntosh’s character interestingly appears to have long hair, which fans haven’t seen since her last appearance in the main The Walking Dead series, as Jadis had short hair in the spin-off series The Walking Dead: World Beyond, we speculate that the scenes being filmed here will most likely be for flashback scenes.
However, Lincoln’s Rick Grimes appears to have long hair, which is also interesting as Rick had extremely short hair during his last appearance in The Walking Dead, confirming that these new scenes will be a considerable amount of time after Rick is rescued by Jadis and the Civil Republic after his brutal exit from the main series.

It was made pretty clear that Jadis saved Rick Grimes when she revealed in The Walking Dead: World Beyond that she lied to the CRM to ensure his safety, despite Jadis being somewhat of an antagonist in that series.
It is hard to depict exactly what is going on between the two characters from these new set images, but their conversation seems to be civil, pardon the pun, potentially hinting that they remained allies for quite some time before the lengthy time jumps.
Rick & Michonne‘s spin-off is expected to release in late 2023 or sometime in 2024.
