Marketing is the best when it seeps into the real world. Take, for example, Scream VI. In early March this year, Ghostface from the franchise was seen in numerous cities all over the US, which was all part of a marketing campaign for the upcoming installment in the horror franchise.
Multiple Skrull sightings have occurred all across the United States just before the release of Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion, which focuses on a Skrull invasion on Earth.
Skrulls were first introduced in Captain Marvel, in which they were migrating from the destroyed planet Skrullos. The invasion was first teased in the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home, in which “Nick Fury” and “Maria Hill” turned out to be the Skrulls Talos and Soren.
Skrull Sighting #1
The first sighting comes from Good Morning Texas of WFAA (channel 8). In a sponsored segment by “Jimmy’s Food Store”, manager Tony DiCarlo joined the show’s host, Paige Mccoy Smith, to discuss the store’s vision.
What stood out during the conversation was a Skrull nonchalantly walking alongside the store, stopping for a second to grab the viewers’ attention, and walking into the store.
Skrull Sighting #2
The second sighting is from KTLA-5 (channel 5) in Los Angeles. During a breaking news segment, a Skrull can be seen in the background, walking on the opposite side of the road. This skrull sports a different outfit as compared to the one in the previous sighting.
Skrull Sighting #3
Another skrull was spotted in ABC7’s Chicago Windy City Weekend programme. In this still camera shot, a Skrull is seen walking on the pavement.
Weirdly enough, other passers-by are unresponsive to the green humanoid walking alongside them; probably actors as well.
