In a recent casting report for Marvel Studios’ Blade via industry scooper Daniel Richtman, details on a new lead character who will be a black female around the age of 8 to 11 were shared. In the report from Richtman, it is stated that the character being cast will be known as “ZORA”, who we broke down to possibly be Zora Vukovic.
However, the character Zora Vukovic doesn’t match up with the details of this new casting report, in fact, Vukovic doesn’t match up with the Blade storyline at all. The character who better fits this casting description is of Brielle Brooks, the Daughter of Eric Brooks aka Blade himself. Blade’s Daughter Brielle was only introduced into Marvel Comics in 2022, which would make her comic adaptation only two years old once the movie is released, but it would work well with the Young Avengers setup that the MCU has been building on.

New Cryptic Casting Report For Blade
In the new casting report from Daniel Richtman, it is stated that the role of “ZORA” is being cast with a “Black female“around the ages of 8 to 11 being sought out to play the part. It is also noted that the character will be a “Lead role“ in the movie, which only adds fuel to the theory that this will most likely be Blade’s Daughter, Brielle Brooks.
It has also been reported, multiple times, that Marvel Studios’ Blade will be set during the 1920s, which could mean that the MCU version of Blade will be similar to the comic adaptation. It would, however, change Brielle’s origin from the comics slightly if she is also introduced during this time period. Brooks hasn’t had as much character development in the comics yet, so it is possible that her live-action adaptation could be revamped for the MCU.
