Blumhouse’s live-action adaptation of the popular Five Nights at Freddy’s game, set to release on October 27, will reportedly be as long as a Lord of the Rings movie.
According to the increasingly popular industry tipster Cryptic4KQual, Five Nights at Freddy’s will be “approximately 3 hours” long in runtime.

Usually, Blumhouse’s movies tend to be around the two-hour mark when it comes to runtime duration, potentially making the FNAF movie one of their longest yet.
It would be no surprise that the length of the upcoming horror title would be longer than most Blumhouse projects, mostly due to how many instalments of the original Five Nights at Freddy’s game series the movie is set to adapt.
Will FNAF Be Blumhouse’s Longest Movie?
Alongside the reported runtime information for the live-action FNAF movie included a note from the tipster: “A few months ago on my alt I did say the [Five Nights at Freddy’s] movie had a pretty long runtime but this isn’t final.”
If true, and Blumhouse’s live-action FNAF movie is indeed around 3 hours long, it’s safe to assume that it could be their longest movie yet, give or take.
Beating previous Blumhouse movie runtimes such as M3GAN which is around 1hr and 42m, Insidious: The Red Door which is 1h 47m, and Get Out at 1hr and 44m.
As shown above, the majority of Blumhouse’s biggest titles barely reached the two-hour mark in runtime, most likely meaning Five Nights at Freddy’s will contain plenty of rich lore from Scott Cawthon’s massively loved game series.
