It’s been a minute since Hailee Steinfeld was last seen as Marvel’s Kate Bishop in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Most recently she was last seen, well heard, in Sony’s animated Spider-Man Universe movie Across the Spider-Verse as Gwen Stacy.

Her live-action Kate Bishop has only been seen so far in the 2021 Hawkeye series with no solid word as to when or where she’ll pop up next.
Her iconic pairing with Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton aka Hawkeye has been missed by many MCU fans. Not to mention her additional pairing with Florence Pugh’s Yelena which remains a fan-favourite duo to this day.
Upcoming Kate Bishop Projects (Report)
It may have been safe to assume that another iteration of the Hawkeye series would have been her next gig at Marvel Studios.
However, according to a new rumour from industry scooper Daniel Richtman, her next appearance[s] will be sooner than expected.
In the newly shared report, it is said that Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop is currently set to appear in 4 upcoming projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
On top of the already rumoured casting that she is also attached to star in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty as per the official IMDB page. This makes up for a total of now 5 rumoured MCU projects featuring Kate Bishop.
See all the rumoured titles below.
The Marvels
Release Date: November 10, 2023
According to the new report which has not been confirmed as of writing, Steinfeld is set to appear as Kate Bishop in Marvel Studios’ The Marvels.
As to why or how Kate Bishop will be featured in a movie that is mostly set to be featured off planet Earth is currently unclear.
The Marvels will feature some parts of the movie on planet Earth so there is definitely room for her to fit in for a couple of scenes.
Unless this is perhaps for a post-credit scene, if true, to set up a future Kate Bishop storyline or to maybe recruit Ms Marvel to the Young Avengers.
Which transitions us nicely into the next rumoured title, see below.
Young Avengers Project
Rumoured Release: 2025-2026
It’s been no secret that Marvel Studios have been introducing various members from Marvel’s Young Avengers lineup, they just haven’t officially announced a project in relation to these new additions as of yet.
According to this new report, a Young Avengers project is currently in the works and is scheduled to release somewhere between 2025 to 2026.
Kate Bishop has been expected for a while now to be at least one of the main leaders of the upcoming Young Avengers lineup in the MCU.
The Marvels, as mentioned above, may feature Steinfeld pulling a Robert Downey Jr. by telling Kamala Kahn she’s “putting a team together”.
Just as RDJ did to the late William Hurt’s Thunderbolt Ross in The Incredible Hulk or how Samuel L. Jackson did to RDJ in Iron Man.
Hawkeye: Season 2
Rumoured Release: Unknown
Included in the new report was another season of Hawkeye, however, it is unclear if it will include Jeremy Renner’s return as the titular hero.
It’s potential that the second season will slide further into a Kate Bishop-led solo series, similar to how the first Ant-Man did the opposite and slid into the now duo-franchise Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty
Release Date: May 1, 2026
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is currently on Steinfeld’s official IMDB page as a rumoured title, however, it was not included in this new report.
Despite it not being included in the new report, none of these titles have been announced to feature Kate Bishop with some of these titles not even being announced in the first place.
Avengers: Secret Wars
Release Date: May 7, 2027
Last on the newly reported information is none other than Avengers: Secret Wars which is already a title expected to feature the entire MCU roster.
At least those in the MCU who survive up to this point but with Kate Bishop also expected to lead the Young Avengers, this becomes a no-brainer.
Keep in mind that this information has not yet been confirmed by the cast and crew of said titles or by anyone at Marvel Studios.
The Marvels comes to theatres before the end of the year so it won’t be long until that rumoured appearance is proven true or false.
Until then, without an official announcement or confirmation, MCU fans will just have to wait and see what Marvel Studios have planned with Steinfeld.
