A new South Park game is reportedly in the works that will be developed under the working title of Snow Day, with details that voice work is set to begin as early as the end of this month, March of 2023. This could potentially make this the first game to be released since the 2017 South Park game entitled South Park: The Fractured but Whole.
These new details come from the well-known industry scooper Daniel Richtman, with reported details that the game’s script has already been written with additional details that “they” will be starting voice work by the end of March 2023, most likely referring to the two South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
New ‘South Park’ Game Teased Back In 2022
Sadly, details as to what the plot of the new game may entail have not been shared as of yet, with no new announcements from the team behind the South Park game studio being shared either. However, news on a new game was revealed just last year at the 2022 THQ Nordic Digital Showcase, when a new South Park game was teased to be in early development by none other than South Park‘s Randy Marsh, voiced by Trey Parker.
Watch the 2022 announcement below, with the new South Park game being teased at around the 55:12 mark of the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase live stream from 2022.
It could be safe to assume that these new reported details are related to the 2022 announcement of a new South Park game being in development, however, this wasn’t confirmed in the industry insider’s report on Patreon.
Fans of the South Park gaming franchise will have to wait for an official announcement from the team behind the game, as confirmation on these new details has not yet been provided from either Stone or Parker.
