Paul Mescal (Aftersun, God’s Creatures) was reportedly offered the role of Johnny Storm, aka Marvel’s Human Torch, in the 2025 Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Fantastic Four, directed by Matt Shakman who also helmed MCU series for Disney+, WandaVision.
This news comes from the well-known industry scooper known as Daniel Richtman, aka DanielRPK, via the news now making rounds on Twitter, however, the general response has been negative more than positive so far, with noise starting to generate a dislike to Mescal’s MCU casting rumour.
Paul Mescal Was Offered MCU Human Torch Role
This new information states that Mescal was offered the role, potentially meaning that the actor could either be in talks to star as the live-action Human Torch for the MCU, has just simply been offered the role or was offered the role but turned it down, something that has yet to be confirmed.
The cast and crew of Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four have yet to confirm who has been cast as Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch and have yet to confirm whether or not Mescal is indeed in talks to join the highly anticipated 2025 MCU project, so take this news with a pinch of salt for the meantime.
